At SD Family Lawyers we understand that nobody likes to receive a bill for much more than they were quoted, or for more than they have budgeted for.

Legal costs can be very expensive, so transparency and being upfront about costs is paramount.  We do not underquote in order to secure a client, then gradually increase our costs estimates.

For some family law matters it is not possible to pay your legal fees as costs arise.  If you would prefer to pay your legal fees at the conclusion of your matter, have unexpected fees to meet or are otherwise concerned about your ability to pay our fees, there may be options to assist you. 

SD Family Lawyers has partnered with JustFund to provide funding options to assist people going through a relationship separation. Where eligible, JustFund can provide a line of credit to pay legal fees and associated costs for your family law matter. SD Family Lawyers fees and disbursements are paid by Just Fund upon an invoice being issued and you confirming the invoice with JustFund.  You repay JustFund at the conclusion of your matter from the proceeds of your property settlement.
